Bearded and handsome

Ask most women, and they'll agree that men don't have much of a choice while decking up.

But this thought is pretty much archival. Today, men have so much to opt from in order to add that panache to their ensemble. A major one being, styles in facial hair, be it the beard, moustache or sideburns. Gone are the days when even the five o'clock shadow was considered a taboo. One knows well that those funky beards make women go hoo-ha. It's been a rage right from the early times, when having a beard or a moustache symbolised masculinity.

With your facial hair trimmed and styled in the right manner, you can not only bring about that snappy look but also turn people's gaze off your facial weak points. Here are some all-time sexy styles you can sport.

Goatee
Lucifer is usually painted donning a goatee, but trust us, it just has nothing to do with the villainous look. It's the best option for the square or round faced man. An urbane yet stylised look to flaunt, a trimmed goatee just adds that zing to your mundane appearance. Though the simple styled goatee is no more as chic as it used to be, the quasi-goatee (refer Johnny Depp's look) is what's in. The quasi goatee is a thin moustache, a soul patch (wee hair under the lower lip) and a little hair on the chin. This look has an edge over others as it adds a sophisticated touch to your overall package. If you're the kinds whose thinking diverges from the ordinary, well, you could get a handlebar moustache instead of the normal thin one for the same look.

Balbo
An extended version of the quasi-goatee, the balbo is a look comprising of a separate moustache, a soul patch and a chin strap (beard covering the edge of the jawline right across the chin). This style is suave. It looks stunning on the bold who love blending the old-world style with current fads. A balbo adds on to a man's sense of elegance and boosts his confidence. And, it's the best look to sport this winter.

Stubble
It looks best on the small faced man, as having too much hair on your face will make it seem disproportionate. For those who aint keen on alloting much time to their facial hair style, again, the stubble is the best option. Not only is it rakish, but also low maintenance. It adds on to that rugged, I-don't-care-how-I-look appearance, making one seem extremely trendy and smart.

Scruffy beard
In DevD, Abhay Deol looked hot as ever with the scruffy beard (heavy dishevelled stubble is what this look's all about). This beard is about looking daring, defiant and most importantly sexy. Remember, to complement this look, you should take care of your styling. To look handsome, limit the scruff just to your beard, barring it's use in your styling. Shabby clothes are a no-no with this look. Make it a point to feel relaxed and comfortable in appearance, with that scruff on your face.

Full beard
The look's about having an augmented hair growth on your face. It might be the caveman semblance for many, but boy, it's a 10/10 when we're talking about 'most desirable'. But we suggest you don't try this in winter considering it's quite a heavy maintenance look. This bad-boy guise adds that mature element and finesse to your avatar. If you're wondering what sophistication we're trying to explain right here, refer Jake Gyllenhaal's recent look. It's stunning, isn't it?

Having your facial hair styled up sure is in vogue, but you should remember that maintaining it is also important. Shampoo and condition it on a regular basis, so you can keep it clean. Maintain that polished look and make sure, you sport that facial hair with confidence. And yes, don't forget to team it up with the right clothes.
