This is a blog post out of laziness. One of my closest friends from California (Hi Stacy!) reads this blog and writing updates about my online dating life here kills two birds with one stone: 1. Not having to send her this message via Facebook and 2.) not having to think of something else to blog about.

Here are the top four messages I received today. Messages are unedited, but I did appreviate names because I'm not a completely awful human being. Maybe just a little...

"hey whats up my name E and am interested in getting to know more about you if you are hit me back if not take care"

"hi, im R, i saw your profile and wanted to know if are you interested in a possible relationship"

"HEY my names T and just came across your profile. Ive heard stories about the girls on here from my friends who have profiles on here so can you tell me who they are so i can stay clear of them? lol :P Anyway Ill be here if you like my profile and want to talk. TTYL"

"Can we be friends ? If we can be friends can I get your name and number ? My name is B. Are you looking for a True And Faithful guy, relationship ?"

I know, I know...I sure blog a lot about being single. I guess that's what happens when you're in your late 20s and most of your friends are getting engaged, married, having kids, etc. Being single just seems to become a big part of your identity. Lame-o.

But I will have more interesting blog posts coming up, like visiting the Virginia State Fair, my super cute Halloween costume, a trip to California, Norfolk Fleet Week, and running the Marine Corps Marathon.

Online romance scam dupes thousands - New Kerala

London, Sep 28 : Hundreds of thousands of people in Britain may have been hit or duped by online romance scams, far more than previous estimates. The study undertaken by Monica Whitty and Tom Buchanan, psychologists at the Universities of Leicester and Westminster, is probably the first formal academic analysis of the pervasive scam. Criminals often set up fake identities on dating and social networking sites, using stolen photographs (of models or army officers) and pretend to develop a romantic relationship with their victim. Such scamsters have persuaded many to part with large sums of money before their suspicions are aroused, often on emotive or humanitarian grounds, according to a Leicester statement.
