David Hasselhoff's girlfriend Hayley Roberts has rejected a third marriage proposal from the star in the space of a week.

The Britain's Got Talent judge previously failed to woo the ex-shop assistant with a sunset proposal in South Africa and another in his dressing room.

Hasselhoff has now revealed that he actually popped the question a third time while swimming with sharks off the Cape Town coast.

In a picture released online, the Baywatch star can be seen reaching out from a shark cage, dressed in a thick wetsuit and brandishing a ring box, to a boat deck where Roberts is standing.

However, Hasselhoff revealed on Twitter that he had been turned down once, informing fans: "So we Really aren't engaged but having great time together! Keep Smilin (sic)."

The 59-year-old began dating Roberts in April and recently claimed that he fell in love with her the instant they met.

London, Sep 28 : Hundreds of thousands of people in Britain may have been hit or duped by online romance scams, far more than previous estimates.
