EILEEN Grimshaw is mortified when she gets her head stuck in the factory railings and has to be cut out by firemen.

The bubbly mum who is celebrating her 50th birthday has arranged a date with a mystery man she met through an online dating service.

But when she set it up she had no idea her friends and family had organised a party to mark her half century.

So with Eileen having lied about her age, the last thing she wants is for her date to walk in and spot the huge banner telling the world she is turning 50.

She decides to try to get it down but, as our pictures show, she gets into quite a predicament after squeezing her head between the railings.

And, unfortunately for poor Eileen, she gets stuck.

Her friends have no choice but to call for help and the emergency services turn up to cut her free.

A Coronation Street insider said: These scenes are hilarious.

Eileen hates the fact she is turning 50 but theres no way her friends and family are going to let her get away with reaching such an age without doing something.

They have no idea she has organised a date and it all goes wrong.

But with a fireman like Paul to sort out the situation things start to look up.

Sally Webster recognises him from the tram crash and tells everyone what an amazing man he is.

He then tells Eileen he has no choice but to cut her out of the railings. She is embarrassed and never imagined her 50th birthday would end up like this.

Watch the hilarious scenes a week on Friday on ITV1.
