'VH1 Tough Love' Host Steve Ward Invites BuddyTV Readers to Flirt, Ditch and Date - Buddytv.com

Master Matchmaker Steve Ward is giving you a chance to win a walk-on role in the upcoming season of VH1 Tough Lovethrough an exciting new Facebook App called Ditch or Date.

Ditch or Date, which aims to "make people winners for dating losers," allows you to share your best and worst dating stories, and vote on whether another person should "Ditch" or "Date" their suitor. Each week, a chosen entry will win prizes ranging from jewelry, clothes, beauty products to dating advice from the reality TV host himself. The grand winner, on the other hand, will appear on VH1 Tough Love, which heads to Miami for its third season.

"I want to unite the community of daters worldwide and encourage them to share their stories. Relish in each other's wonderful and even horrible experiences so you may learn from them. There are valuable lessons and insights we can all gain from the experiences of others. That's the premise of VH1 Tough Love. It isn't easy, but sharing and communicating to better our understanding is the only way we can ever move on, the only way we can ever grow," said Steve Ward.

On the reality series, Steve attempts to help a group of eight single women find "the one" by scrutinizing their nasty dating habits and submerging them into the dating pool. Ultimately, Steve must get them ready for love by the end of his 10-week boot camp.

Meanwhile, Ditch or Date is just one of two new digital applications launched to support the return of the show. There's also an online dating service called VH1 Flirts that gives you the opportunity to meet new friends and flirt with people online or on your mobile phones.

VH1 Tough Love Miami premieres Sunday, October 2 at 8pm ET/PT on VH1.

Online romance scam dupes thousands - New Kerala

London, Sep 28 : Hundreds of thousands of people in Britain may have been hit or duped by online romance scams, far more than previous estimates. The study undertaken by Monica Whitty and Tom Buchanan, psychologists at the Universities of Leicester and Westminster, is probably the first formal academic analysis of the pervasive scam. Criminals often set up fake identities on dating and social networking sites, using stolen photographs (of models or army officers) and pretend to develop a romantic relationship with their victim.
