Many of us look online to find love, but 29-year-old single Brisbanite Courtney Beck has eschewed traditional dating sites in favour of starting her own fun blog about herself.

Beck (pictured), who works in marketing and social media by day and writes for pop culture site www.lostateminor.com by night, has set up a tumblr page detailing Reasons To Date Courtney Beck.

At the encouragement of her friends, shes been cranking up her efforts to bring a girl to dinner, and despite having lived in Brisbane for the past nine years, shes open to offers from far and wide, saying that distance will not limit her search for the right girl.

Just to summarise a bit of Becks wonderfully funny and honest blog, she says the first things she notices about a girl are eyes, smile and legs, and reassures any potential girls that she wont get you pregnant.

As for reasons to date her, she promises shell constantly look for new ways to excite, and delight you and is a massive romantic, having once brought to a love interests work her favourite bottle of wine at 11.30pm one night.

Online romance scam dupes thousands - New Kerala

London, Sep 28 : Hundreds of thousands of people in Britain may have been hit or duped by online romance scams, far more than previous estimates. The study undertaken by Monica Whitty and Tom Buchanan, psychologists at the Universities of Leicester and Westminster, is probably the first formal academic analysis of the pervasive scam. Criminals often set up fake identities on dating and social networking sites, using stolen photographs (of models or army officers) and pretend to develop a romantic relationship with their victim.
